I captured this image of the super moon setting this morning when the skies were clear and the wind was gusting at over 25 mph. The birds just happen to come along to add to the festivities since they were captured in confusion between a sun rising in the east and a moonsetting in the west within a few minutes of each other. Interestingly when you capture a moon set the horizon is darker than the sky if the sun is just rising in the East. This is the 4th brightest, biggest and nearest to earth super-moon of 2020.
The last #supermoon rise of 2020. April’s “pink moon” was actually orange in color as it rose just as the sun was setting in the west. The atmosphere was clean for a detailed image of the craters on the moon. The next supermoon will be in 2021. Something good to look forward too seeing.
